Glendon

One of my favourite parks is Glendon College -part of York University. It's located at Bayview and Lawrence Ave E. It may not look like the place to take a dog but shortly after entering the campus make a left down a long winding road down a steep hill. This takes you past Glendon's playing field, across a small bridge and into a parking lot which has been super empty every time I've been.

There's a path to the far right that follows the West Don River. Its not an entirely smooth walk but the friendly walkers of Toronto have built some makeshift bridges.

The best part about Glendon is there are so many alternative paths to take. My dog is getting old so I didn't go far. But you can go all the way along the river to the off-leash area of Sunnybrooke park.

There's some roots in the side of the hill a little way along that look like steps

Now the fun part is trying to get out of the car park once you're done. You go through the exit gate (everytime I have a panic and think the gate wont open) and onto a bizarre little off-shot of Lawrence Ave.

After that have fun finding your way through the Bridle Path and oggle at some mansions on the way home.
